I recently put some money down on a Taurus, all-steel, (non-ported), 415 .41 magnum snubby.
I'll go pick it up (my Christmas present to me, I guess) when my next ship comes in (hopefully before Christmas).
Anyone have any experience with this gun?
I have had a model 425 for several years and mine has been accurate, easy to carry and reliable. I prefer handloads of moderate velocity for best accuracy, as with the light weight, it can be a handfull even with the ported barrel and ribber grips when shooting full house loads- and I enjoy big bore handguns, owning a 454 Casull and 44 magnum. The titanium construction makes it a very durable and weather-resistant revolver, perfect for backpacking or general outdoors use. I occasionally stick mine in the back pocket of my jeans and forget it is there until I need it. I was a little nervous about the quality of Taurus handguns, never having owned one before, but this is a very well made weapon. In my opinion, Taurus is right at the cutting edge in terms of revolver technology over the past few years at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
Kind of a big gun for a snub nose revolver.
It`s a 5 shot 41 Magnum.
